Competition 2012

•  In order to participate in competition, students must be in the full Team or Core program.  All Team Jazz classes will compete, and all Core Jazz classes plus one other Core class (TBD), and a production piece with all cores will compete (3 competition dances total for each Core).  All choreography for these dances will be learned in class and will not require an extra choreography fee. 
• Students must audition only if they would like to do more competition dances than are required in their program. 

• Solo, duo & trio practices are flexible.  We set a regular schedule once we know what works for the students.  Practices can be on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. 
• In order to get a solo, you must be in Core or Pre-Core and also participate in a duo/trio or small group. 
• Due to the limited amount of rehearsal time, we ask that students miss rehearsals for emergencies only!  If a student is sick, please come and watch so the group can reach its full potential during competition.  If you know of a conflict in advance, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can make adjustments to the schedule.
