Nichole (Wilcott) Fortunato, Director ~ Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop

Ms. Fortunato has been dancing competitively for more than 20 years. A former N.F.L. Cheerleader, she specializes in Jazz, Hip-hop, and Contemporary and has trained with renowned choreographer Brian Friedman. She has studied in New York at the Broadway Dance Center and has worked as a full time dance instructor in the Boston area for many years. In addition, Nichole has shared her expertise with Boston University students as a master dance teacher.

Danielle DiVito Bourdeau, Assistant Director~Modern, Acro, Jazz, Ballet/Jazz

Danielle graduated magna cum laude from Roger Williams University with a B.A. in Dance and Performance Studies and Secondary Education. While at RWU she received the Dance Theatre and Performance Scholarship and the Outstanding Achievement in Dance Award. Danielle has performed with artists throughout New York City, Boston and Rhode Island including Ellis Wood Dance (NYC), Snappy Dance Theater, ANAIKI Dance, DeAnna Pellecchia, Bennett Dance Company and Carey Foster (Boston). She currently dances for Ipswich Moving Company, an aerial dance company on the North Shore. Danielle is Acrobatic Arts Certified and a member of the National Dance Education Organization. She has taught dance at St. George School, Providence Academy of International Studies, and Davisville Elementary in RI, Cambridge Montessori School in MA, and Rita Tottenham Studios in CT. She has been teaching at BBDC since December 2006.  

Melissa Amershek ~Jazz, Tap

Melissa has been listed as one of the "Top 50 Choreographers to Watch" by Dance Spirit/Teacher Magazine. Her notable performing experience includes Disney World Magic Kingdom. Television credits include principal dance roles with ESPN and Pepsi Commercials.  Melissa continued her success as a New England Patriots Cheerleader and performed in New Orleans at Super Bowl XXXVI.

Melissa currently prides herself on being one of the top choreographers in the Northeast with awards such as "Top Choreographer", "Most Creative", "Best Staging", "Most Entertaining" and 3 time Industry Dance Award winner for the highest scoring jazz routine for 2014, 2015 & 2016. Melissa has trained 15 regional and national title winners. Her dancers have not only earned college scholarships, they are currently dancing professionally in NYC, LA, Boston and Orlando.  Melissa was also honored with producing and choreographing the opening act for the Radio City Rockettes.  Most recently, Melissa was the choreographer for the national dance team for Turn It Up Dance Challenge.


Currently, Melissa is a dance faculty member at Dean College, Director of New England Summer Dance Camp and a competition judge for Turn It Up Dance Challenge.  

Colleen Edwards ~ Ballet

Colleen Edwards is from Boulder, Colorado where she was trained at the Boulder Ballet Academy under the founder, Barbra Demaree as well as Jon Prinz, Ana Claire and Lucia Martin. Colleen also trained with world renowned choreographer Robert Sher-Machherndl  of the Lemon Sponge Cake Contemporary Ballet. After attending the Boston Conservatory and earning her B.F.A in Dance Colleen has taught in Virginia, New York, Louisiana, Maine and Massachusetts where she continues to challenge her students in both technique and performance.  Colleen has enjoyed a career of dancing in diverse companies including Urbanity, Baton Rouge Ballet Theater, Portland Ballet and is currently dancing with the North Atlantic Dance Theater.

Amie Fabiano ~ Modern, Lyrical, Ballet/Jazz

Amie Fabiano graduated from Roger Williams University with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Performance and a Minor in Anthropology.  She was awarded the RWU Dance Performance Scholarship as well as the award for Outstanding Achievement in Dance.  She has had the pleasure of performing works by Heidi Latsky, Sean Curran, Doug Elkins, Heidi Henderson, and Christine Bennett.  Amie has been actively teaching and choreographing in the Boston Area for the past eleven years.

 

 

Britany Laliberte ~ Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet/Jazz, Pre Ballet, Hip Hop

A native of Connecticut, Britany is eager for a new chapter in her career starting here in Massachusetts. Britany is a graduate from Dean College where she received her Bachelor’s in dance and a minor in business in 2012. At Dean, she performed in numerous performances such as Dance Company and Choreographers Showcase. Not only is she an educated dance teacher and choreographer, but she is also proud to add a certification of yoga fit to her accomplishments. Britany has competed in competitions throughout New England, and is very proud to add “Best Choreographer” to her list of accomplishments. Britany is a determined and a detail oriented teacher. Her greatest joy is to see a student transform from an individual to an artist.

Alyssa Crane ~ Jazz, Acro, Acro/Jazz, Ballet

Alyssa Crane is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a minor in Theatre and Dance. Dance has always been her passion. She danced competitively for many years, and was a member of the UNH Tap, Jazz, and Aerial Company, as well as Boston Community Dance Project where she danced under inspiring mentors and alongside talented performers. Alyssa has been employed by national dance competitions and conventions, and you may also catch her on the sidelines as she is a veteran cheerleader for the New England Patriots. Above all, she loves being in the studio with her students who inspire her the most. 

Emily Stomski ~ Hip Hop

Taylor Loesch ~ Ballet/Jazz, Hip Hop

Taylor has been dancing since the age of 8. She graduated from Framingham State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Fashion Merchandise. During college Taylor performed in dance competitions to fulfill her love for the art. After college knowing that she always wanted to be a dancer she was reconnected again with her first love of dance. Taylor is grateful for being able to do what she loves everyday and is dedicated to sharing her passion for dance with her students.

Caitrin Bellavance~ Modern

Caitrin Bellavance graduated from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro with her B.F.A in Dance Performance and Choreography. During college she focused her studies on release technique, ballet, and jazz as well as performing with UNCG’s dance team. After graduation she moved to Chicago, IL to dance for Thodos Dance Chicago. During her time with Thodos, Caitrin performed in over 10 U.S states including a final repertory performance at the Harris Theater Chicago. Currently she is enjoying her first year as a New England Patriots Cheerleader. Caitrin continues her education through classes in the city to enhance teaching for her students.
