Nichole Wilcott, Director – Hip Hop, Jazz, Tumbling
Ms. Wilcott has been dancing competitively for more than 20 years. A former N.F.L. Cheerleader, she specializes in Jazz and Hip-hop and has trained with reknowned choreographer Brian Friedman. She has studied in New York at the Broadway Dance Center and has worked as a full time dance instructor in the Boston area for many years. In addition, Nichole has shared her expertise with Boston University students as a master dance teacher. She looks forward to bringing her passion for dance to students throughout the Metrowest area.
Danielle DiVito, Assistant Director - Jazz, Ballet, Tumbling, Modern, Hip-Hop
Miss Danielle graduated magna cum laude from Roger Williams University with a B.A. in Dance and Performance Studies and Secondary Education. While at RWU she received the Dance Theatre and Performance Scholarship and the Outstanding Achievement in Dance Award. Danielle has performed with artists throughout New York City, Boston and Rhode Island including Ellis Wood Dance (NYC), Snappy Dance Theater, DeAnna Pellecchia, Bennett Dance Company and Carey Foster (Boston). She currently dances for Ipswich Moving Company and ANAIKI Dance. Danielle is a member of the National Dance Education Organization and has taught dance at St. George School, Providence Academy of International Studies, and Davisville Elementary in RI, Cambridge Montessori School in MA, and Rita Tottenham Studios in CT. She has been teaching at BBDC since December 2006.
Anne Ramsay - Lyrical, Jazz, Modern, Ballet, Tap
Anne Ramsay received her MA in Dance and Dance Education from New YorkUniversity in 2005. She has taught for the FrankSinatraHigh School of the Arts, Levinthal-Sidman Jewish Community Center, Kaleidoscope Camp and was a teaching assistant under Professor Deborah Damast at New York University.
Anne’s performance credits include In Motion (NYU Dance Education Master’s Concert), The Wild Party (Boston Premiere cast, Riverside Theatre Works), and Ho(t!) Ho(t!) Ho(t!) (Jeannette Neill Dance, Boston). She was also the Executive Producer and Artistic Director for the Riverside Dance Festival, the Artistic Director of the Charles River Dance Festival and a Master Class Teacher for Alvin Ailey Community Service Day.
Pamela Powers - Tap
Pamela has an extensive background as a performer, choreographer and teacher. She is a certified teacher with a Bachelor of Science in Education. Pamela started tap dancing at the age of three and has had the privilege of studying over the years with many of the legendary tap greats. Pamela also studied privately in New York for eight years with the renowned Broadway choreographer, Charles Hughes. She has taught in the US, England and Germany. She is a versatile tap dancer, and draws from many dance forms to create interesting choreography. She has a wonderful rapport with her students and a life-long passion for the Art of Tap Dancing.
Amie Fabiano – Nuts & Bolts, Competition
Amie Fabiano graduated from Roger Williams University with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Performance and a Minor in Anthropology. It was there that she was awarded the RWU Dance Performance Scholarship as well as the award for Outstanding Achievement in Dance. She has had the pleasure of performing works by Heidi Latsky, Sean Curran, Doug Elkins, Heidi Henderson and Christine Bennett. Amie has been actively teaching and choreographing in the Boston Area for the past eleven years.
Michelle Gillen - Pre Ballet
Michele studied dance at Paulette’s Ballet Studio in Newton, MA for 15 years. There she concentrated her efforts in ballet, jazz, tap and pointe.She continued her education at Stonehill College in Easton, MA taking any available dance classes. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology and worked in the corporate world for 15 years, while continuing to take adult dance classes locally.In 2002, she started a company in Needham called “Moms in Motion” which taught jazzercise classes to busy moms. She joined the Charles River YMCA in 2003 to teach ballet and hip hop to neighboring youths and continues to do so.Her expertise is teaching the youngest dancers and she joins BBDC to instruct 2-4 year olds in Pre-Ballet with much enthusiasm.
Elena Greenspan - Lyrical, Modern, Hip Hop, Ballet, Tap
Elena Greenspan is a graduate of the University at Buffalo with a B.A. in Dance. She has choreographed and danced in several original pieces while at Buffalo, and has performed as a dancer in commercials that have appeared regionally on television. Elena has had additional training with Elisa Monte, Ronald K. Brown, H.T. Chen, Urban Bush Women, Jon Lehrer, and Jeannette Neill Dance Studio. She is currently a member of Prometheus Dance, a modern company in Cambridge, MA. Elena's love and passion for dance is also expressed through her desire to teach. She has worked with handicapped children using movement as a means of expression and as an outlet for their innate creativity. She hopes to continue to innovate and educate using dance as a language to allow students to express their individual personality and to explore the creative experience.
Alison Neill - Jazz
Alison Neill was born and raised in Boston, MA. After studying dance at The Jeannette Neill Dance Studio she went on to graduate from The Boston Conservatory with a BFA in Dance. Her favorite performing credits include: Dance Captain on Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Spirit of the Dance in Branson, MO, Tribute the Concert in Myrtle Beach, SC, Legends in Concert in Surfside Beach, SC, The Carolina Opry in Myrtle Beach, SC, The American Music Theatre in Lancaster, PA ,and Sesame Street Live International Tour. Alison is currently on faculty at Emerson College, The Jeannette Neill Dance Studio, and Boston Youth Moves.
Heather Meyers - Hip Hop, Pre Ballet
Heather Myers is a graduate of Framingham State College where she was president of the FSC Dance Club for two years. During her time as Dance Club President, she was a recipient of the Student Services Leadership Award, the Harmony Award, and nominated for Student Leader of the Year. Upon graduating in 2005, Heather began pursuing dance full-time and has taught students throughout the Boston area and Southern New Hampshire. Heather also teaches workshops for local schools and community programs, including the Charles River School and the Cambridge Dance in the Schools Program. Whenever possible Heather attends master classes and conventions where she studies with top choreographers, such as Sheryl Murakami and Nu-Stylz. She is also a member of the Boston Hip Hop Dance Company, Static Noyze.
James Murphy – Voice, Musical Theater
Brian Roberts- Ballet, Pointe
Brian Roberts trained on scholarship at the School of American Ballet. He was a member of Boston Repertory Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet and The Metropolitan Opera at Lincoln Center. He earned his MA in Dance from American University in 1997. Mr. Roberts has taught and or choreographed at many institutions including New World School of the Arts, Miami City Ballet School - where he was also the Director of Education Outreach, American University, Towson State University and Walnut Hill among others. An excerpt of his ballet Te Yashe was performed by Janet Shibata as a part of Washington Ballet's 20th Anniversary Gala at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.
