Nichole Wilcott, Director – Hip Hop, Jazz, Tumbling
Ms. Wilcott has been dancing competitively for more than 20 years. A former N.F.L. Cheerleader, she specializes in Jazz and Hip-hop and has trained with reknowned choreographer Brian Friedman. She has studied in New York at the Broadway Dance Center and has worked as a full time dance instructor in the Boston area for many years. In addition, Nichole has shared her expertise with Boston University students as a master dance teacher. She looks forward to bringing her passion for dance to students throughout the Metrowest area.
Miss Danielle graduated magna cum laude from Roger Williams University with a B.A. in Dance and Performance Studies and Secondary Education. While at RWU she received the Dance Theatre and Performance Scholarship and the Outstanding Achievement in Dance Award. Danielle has performed with artists throughout New York City, Boston and Rhode Island including Ellis Wood Dance (NYC), Snappy Dance Theater, DeAnna Pellecchia, Bennett Dance Company and Carey Foster (Boston). She currently dances for Ipswich Moving Company and ANAIKI Dance. Danielle is a member of the National Dance Education Organization and has taught dance at St. George School, Providence Academy of International Studies, and Davisville Elementary in RI, Cambridge Montessori School in MA, and Rita Tottenham Studios in CT. She has been teaching at BBDC since December 2006.
Anne Ramsay - Lyrical Jazz, Modern, Ballet, Tap
Anne Ramsay received her MA in Dance and Dance Education from New YorkUniversity in 2005. She has taught for the FrankSinatraHigh School of the Arts, Levinthal-Sidman Jewish Community Center, Kaleidoscope Camp and was a teaching assistant under Professor Deborah Damast at New York University.
Anne’s performance credits include In Motion (NYU Dance Education Master’s Concert), The Wild Party (Boston Premiere cast, Riverside Theatre Works), and Ho(t!) Ho(t!) Ho(t!) (Jeannette Neill Dance, Boston). She was also the Executive Producer and Artistic Director for the Riverside Dance Festival, the Artistic Director of the Charles River Dance Festival and a Master Class Teacher for Alvin Ailey Community Service Day.
Pamela Powers - Tap
Pamela has an extensive background as a performer, choreographer and teacher. She is a certified teacher with a Bachelor of Science in Education. Pamela started tap dancing at the age of three and has had the privilege of studying over the years with many of the legendary tap greats. Pamela also studied privately in New York for eight years with the renowned Broadway choreographer, Charles Hughes. She has taught in the US, England and Germany. She is a versatile tap dancer, and draws from many dance forms to create interesting choreography. She has a wonderful rapport with her students and a life-long passion for the Art of Tap Dancing.
Amie Fabiano – Modern, Hip Hop, Ballet, Jazz, Theatre
Amie Fabiano graduated from Roger Williams University with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Performance and a Minor in Anthropology. It was there that she was awarded the RWU Dance Performance Scholarship as well as the award for Outstanding Achievement in Dance. She has had the pleasure of performing works by Heidi Latsky, Sean Curran, Doug Elkins, Heidi Henderson and Christine Bennett. Amie has been actively teaching and choreographing in the Boston Area for the past eleven years.
Danielle Prestejohn - Hip-Hop, Ballet
Danielle will be graduating from Dean College with her BA in Dance this upcoming May of 2009. She has spent this past summer as a summer intern at Broadway Dance Center in NY where she concentrated on her focus, hip hop. While in New York, Danielle took classes from Kelly Peters, Rhapsody, and Sheryl Murakami. She also has training from Nailah Randall-Bellinger and Jill Silverman. After spending many summers as a counselor for preschool-aged children, Danielle has a certificate in early childhood education from the OCCS.
Angela Napolitano -
Angela Napolitano is a Registered Yoga Teacher, trained in the Viniyoga tradition of Hatha Yoga. She has attained her 100 Yoga Teacher Certification and the 200 hour RYT status through Fitness Resource Associates of Needham MA. Angela continues to study with the Integrative Yoga Therapy Training Program, as well as participating in many yoga workshops offered in the Massachusettsarea each year. Her training and love of teaching has enabled Angela to bring the world of yoga and its benefits to every level of yoga student, regardless of age, body composition, or level of flexibility.
Amanda Sherman– Student Teacher
Amanda Sherman has been dancing for 14 years. This fall she will be a junior at the University of New Hampshire. She plans to major in Therapeutic Recreation. In the future she plans to teach dance classes to people with disabilities.
William Tagye– Personal Trainer
William runs CrossFit, a strength and conditioning system that utilizes Gymnastics, Olympic Weightlifting and Metabolic Conditioning while incorporating variation and high levels of intensity. This training protocol provides increases in strength, endurance, stamina, and positive shifts in body composition like no other. Due to the scalable levels of intensity, CrossFit has become the preferred training system for individuals of all walks of life. It has also recently been named the official training system for the Canadian Army. Brian Roberts- Ballet, Pointe
Brian has danced with many companies including; Boston Repertory Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet,Metropolitan Opera and has often performed with the Washington Opera. Brian attended The School of American Ballet. He earned his Master’s Degree in Performing Arts: Dance, from American University in Washington, D.C. in 1997. His ballet Triad was featured as a part of imagesommertanz in Vienna, Austria in 1996.
Mr. Roberts has taught and or choreographed at many institutions including New World School of the Arts,The Florida Dance Festival, American University, Towson State University, MiamiCityBalletSchool where he was also the Director of Education Outreach, and the Walnut Hill School of the Arts among others. Mr. Roberts is very happy to be joining the faculty of BroadwayBoundDanceCenter.
